These are just some additional thoughts.

I sincerely enjoyed today's conversation. I also appreciated the fine distinction you drew using the word "conundrum."


Convincing folks has not worked will for me. I've done better with show'em.


Even then, not everyone is going to be a believer. That's okay.  We work the willing parters, those eager to learn and that is how we achieve a tipping point, and buy-in overtime.


The phrase "follow the laughter" has served me well.


So much so that my managerial style is one of working most closely with those who like to work. (They're there). I have found, over time, doing so leverages the power of attraction and normalizes new developments without minimal awkwardness. The other tool at our collective disposal is the power of the institution. To the extent we can pair-up new suggestions with accepted practice I think that's a good thing.
